Debuting this April in Nuuksio National Park—30 minutes from Helsinki Airport—our mindfulness retreats are intended to help you relax and reconnect with your surroundings through touch, sound, sight, smell, and taste.

 

Together with our premier partners and Haltia Lake Lodge, an award-winning hotel, we provide an immersive sensory experience rooted in Finnish nature, culture, and wellbeing. Come enjoy gourmet meals and a peaceful place to rest, reflect, and be restored.

Spring Retreat

Spring Renewal | 23-26 April

The upcoming retreat in April will feature slow mornings, forest air, firelight, movement, heat, steam, music, yoga, and gourmet meals at a comfortable forest resort. A carefully designed journey through Finnish nature and culture, created to help you arrive, soften, be restored, and return home refreshed.

Day 1

Day 2 — Immersion & Presence

Morning

We invite you deeper into the forest and yourself. The day begins with metsäkylpy — forest bathing — where stillness, breath, and movement slow your inner rhythm and sharpen your senses. You’ll explore Finnish nature at your own pace through sound, light, texture, and silence with ancient stories and wellbeing practices in your retreat guide.

Afternoon

Nature and art meet as you step into a guided tactile and visual cyanotype experience, followed by time of extended rest. 

 

You'll be given a day pass to the Finnish Nature Centre Haltia to use at your leisure. Or you can simply spend time exploring the surroundings as you wish — in silence or engaging in various activities available throughout the park.

 

Evening

The day closes with dinner at the Lodge. You may end your day of presence, depth, and gentle awakening with sauna and massage as an add-on with advance reservation

Day 2

Day 1 — Arrival & Entry

Afternoon

The retreat begins at 15:00 on the 23rd of April with a gentle arrival into the Finnish forest. After settling into your room at Haltia Lake Lodge, you are invited to take a reflective walk through the surrounding forest to transition from everyday life into retreat time. We will give a retreat reflection guide to aid you in your journey.

There is no destination and no pace to keep. This first walk is about permission: permission to slow down, to breathe deeply, and to let the noise of daily life fade into the background.

 

Evening

A premium three-course culinary experience serves as our evening's centerpiece, celebrating seasonal Finnish ingredients. Following dinner, the evening transitions into soft relaxation with sauna and massage sessions for those who wish to unwind further as an add-on with advance reservation.

Day 3 — Ritual, Rhythm & Renewal

Morning

You can start your day with a walk through the forest with the retreat reflection guide. The morning program then begins with the soft resonance and hands-on experience of kantele, Finland’s traditional stringed instrument, followed by a grounding yoga practice guided by live kantele performance. Together, breath and sound create a deeply grounding start to the day.

Afternoon

You will explore the Nordic pantry through tasting, storytelling, and hands-on preparation, learning the traditions of foraging, preservation, and seasonal nourishment. The afternoon leads into one of Finland’s most treasured rituals: a guided sauna experience with herbs, steam, scent, and a cold plunge in the lake for a powerful reset for both body and mind.

Evening

As evening falls, gather around the fire for a long, unhurried bonfire dinner in a large and atmospheric kota (Lappish teepee) nestled in the forest. This is a day of ancient traditions, shared warmth, and deep restoration. You may end your day with a massage treatment as an optional add-on with advance reservation.

Day 3

Day 4 — Closure & Return

Morning

You can start your last day with a morning walk through the forest with your reflection guide. Breathe in the stillness one last time and notice how the landscape feels now that you’ve settled into its rhythm. There is space for reflection, conversation, and gentle integration for a chance to let the experience settle before returning home.

Afternoon

Before departing, gather once more around the fire for a traditional pancake feast in the woods with a hot cup of coffee. Simple, warm, and grounding, it’s a final shared moment to mark the journey and carry its quiet presence forward.

You leave not in a rush, but with a sense of calm continuity, and something steady to take with you. The retreat comes to a close at 12:30 on the 26th of April.

Reflection and renewal through Finnish culture and the five senses. A small group experience at a premium hotel designed to help you slow down, breathe, and simply be.

Price: from €999/person:

All inclusive four-day sensory immersion including boutique lodging, chef-led dining, and expert-guided sessions.

Flex Pricing:

If you prefer to stay elsewhere, the retreat participation fee is €730 (includes all sessions and group dining).

We recommend full attendance for the best experience. However, if you can join us for only a portion of the retreat, contact us for partial-participation rates.
