What is Five Senses Retreats?
Five Senses Retreats is a small-group slow-travel experiences rooted in Finnish nature, culture, and wellbeing. At Five Senses Retreats, you’ll move slowly, eat well, and reconnect through the five senses—guided by local experts in music, herbalism, movement, and craft.

Touch: Feel the reverberation of kantele strings under your fingers, the warmth of herbal sauna steam, the cool of a lake plunge.
Sound: Listen to ancient Karelian music, forest silence, and the crackle of a teepee fire.
Sight: Capture the season’s light through cyanotype photography—blueprints of nature you make with your own hands and take home with you.
Taste: Forage Nordic berries and herbs, then taste them in simple, seasonal preparations.
Smell: Breathe in pine, wild herbs, and woodsmoke—the scents of a Finnish forest.
